easy way to get high ilvl?

i mean other than paying for donator gear, is there an easy way to get ilvl 890+ ?

ive been playing a few weeks and i finally got up to ilvl 867
i did this through world quests since i have not had good luck getting gear from dungeon drops.

an old guildie told me you could get ilvl 900+ from ("normal") dungeons and yet i have not seen any drops at my ilvl or above.
(i have only done normal and heroic since i don't meet most ilvl requirements for mythic runs)

am i glitched or are a lot of players here giving out bad information?

and how can i get past my current ilvl which ive been stuck at?

I was 890 already from only doing wq, if you do some mythic dungeons you get easy to 900 in a few day's
And you kinda only need 850 / 860 ish for m0
