[REJECTED] [Priest][Discipline] Mastery Doesn't work with Artifact equipped

If we read what Mastery does and take an example that my priest has 42.56% mastery which means healing through Atonement is increased by that amount.

So that should apply like this, base value of atonement 40% is increased by 42.56% and that is 40x1.4256=57% healing transfered through atonement which matches the tooltip in game.

Now what happens here with artifact weapon equipped,it looks like 40% of smite damage + 10% on that heal from trait, I did math on that and thats the only way i get the same number as in game and traits SHOULD NOT apply to atonement,if thats the case here.

This is what happens without artifact equipped,I have 39.43 mastery which means my atonement is 40x1.3943 which is 55.772% which matches the tooltip and if we take a look at the dmg of smite 88 865/100=888.65 and then we multiply that by 55,772% and get 49 561 which is basicly the same number.

So for some reason when artifact is equipped mastery doesn't get applied .If this turns out to be correct it will make Discipline priest playable again.

I'm not too competent in disc, but I do have a trinket that gives only mastery, so I tried smiting a dummy with and without it. here are the results. it's roughly a 3.37% increase in healing
The difference in my mastery is 4.47%, as you can see here.
I don't know what gives, what should be the case, but the statement that mastery doesn't get applied at all is not correct. I'll let you guys deal with the numbers

Read what my post says it isn't about does mastery increase healing it is about the way it applies to atonement.It doesn't matter if it increased the healing if heal transfer doesn't match the atonement value.

I'm just saying this is not true. If I increase my mastery the healing throughput increases, however the damage stays the same, meaning mastery does increase healing from atonement.

And again, I'm not saying it is perfect, there are a number of things going into the maths of atonement which I don't understand completely, I'm just saying that to SOME EXTEND MASTERY WORKS. maybe wrong scaling, idk, but it does SOMETHING.

Ok I'll do the maths.
Smite damage: 203,173, subtracting the 53*0.65% damage that comes from traits the damage atonement takes into consideration is 133,180.
So now the atonement does 133,180*1,547(atonement combined with mastery)*1.1(trait)*1.0172(versa) = 81,512

Now check the combat log, healing done is 80,511 some minor difference

mastery works fine, as danny say you must substract the dmg increase for number of traits.
in your case:
- 222k smite dmg
- 57% aton
- assume 60 trait (+39% dmg)
aton healing = 220k * 0,57 / 1,39 = 91k (similar to 94k)

My stat:
- 56145 int
- 5,92% versa
- n? traits 60 (+39% dmg)
- 46,98% mastery (58,8% dmg trasferred throug atonement)

I take the spell smite the base intellect value is 260% plus modifiers like:
- invoke the light, artifact trait, +15% dmg
- forbidden flame , artifact, + 5% dmg and heal (doesent doubledip)
- will of the conclave, +10% dmg and heal (doesen't doubledip)
- 1 sins's of many, +1% dmg

so the dmg of smite is:
teorical dmg = 56145 (int) * 2,6 (base int value) *1,39 (artifact dmg) * 1,0592 (versa) * 1,15 ( invoke) * 1,05 (forbidden) * 1,1 (conclave) * 1,01 (sins) = 288322k
toerical heal = 56145 (int) * 2,6 (base int value) *0,4 (base aton) *1,4698 (mastery) * 1,0592 (versa) * 1,15 ( invoke) * 1,05 (forbidden) * 1,1 (conclave) * 1,01 (sins) = 121950 k
dmg on freaks = 296k
heal on freaks = 122k

if you are interesetd i have an excell that calculate the aton heal of the different spell, with different multiplayer.
the only spell that i don't have the formula is mindbender/shadowfined, but the healing is pretti similar to retail.
