Hi there, even with the Decayed Whale Blubber

it doesnt seem possible to loot the Ancient Black Barracuda

Fishing in open ocean water awards no loot as well. Would be great if you could look into that. Proof is fishing every day since the 7.3.5 launch and multiple confirmations by the Global_en.

I'm no staff, but I would like to say I've just fished Ancient Black Barracuda yesterday, although it seems like the chance is indeed a bit rare.
You need to use Decayed Whale Blubber then wait a few second, see the ground around you there will be a Decayed Whale Blubber object that after a few second summon a "Ravenous Fly" that you can click to loot. Use the Ravenous Fly to get ancient barracuda. Might need a few try, I got it on my 3rd decayed whale blubber used (means 3 ravenous fly as well, each decayed whale blubber only summon one fly afaik )

EDIT: I forgot to mention I catch it at broken shore.

Yea i have been though 100 decayed whale blubber and know how to catch it regularly. I cant fish in the ocean at all anyway where the drop chance should be higher. but thank u for trying to help

Use bronzemage instructions. Suramar spot for fishing Decayed Whale Blubber : 72.02 56.73. For me it dropped often here. After 6 ravenous fly i got the Ancient Black Barracuda. Good luck.

Where did you try to fish the Ancient Barracuda ? I tried with multiple spots, in the great sea ofc, but no luck so far. Went through 4 blubbers so far.

LE: I tried again and i finally got it.

-> Went to the Veiled Isles, on the Broken Shore, right where the land ends, but NOT in the Great Sea.
-> Fished for a whale blubber.
-> Put the blubber down, wait for the fly, get the lure from the fly.
-> Activate the lure & fish in the same spot.
-> Got it 1st try.

You my man are a life saver I had already spent 6 hours trying to fish this I swam to that exact spot and got it within 10 min. didnt needed to refresh my arcane lure buff.
