UPDATE : it was a phasing issue u may need to log out and in or move it and in a few times untill the NPC appears at the Violet Gate.

Bug description: I started the quest, collected the things needed but complete the quest. I tried to abandon it ... but I can't even take/start it now.

Which made me unable to play my warlock in Legion zone/content/story etc

Glad the issue is solved! The phasing issues can usually be fixed with relogging/unstucking/deleting cache. Good luck!
