I have the same issue on my rogue. It is probably due to the fact that the client which we have is 8.3 and as stated here starting with 8.2 our water striders no longer have the ability to walk on water unless a certain mount equipment is used.

As Arkod already has mentioned, water strider mount requires specific mount equipment which you can buy from Nat Pagle.
