joining global channel

My main character is in 4. global_en and it's active and i'm used to it, but my alt is in 1. global_en, and i am unable to switch, any solutions?

All you have to do is to leave the global channel, go to capital city (Stormwind or Orgrimmar) and see if you have joined automatically 1. and 3. It will be shown in your chat frame (if not, then relog your character). And then you can join global chat again and it will be on your 4. channel!
