Combat Rogue Discussion

Aight, what weapons are the best ones to use on combat, regarding the current content? excluding the ones you can donate for.

The best weapons for a combat rogue are any weapons with Haste (if it has mastery on it instead of crit or expertise, that's even better). You're going to be looking for a 2.6 in main hand, and 1.8 (dagger) in or off-hand, or you could simply go for dual 2.6 speed weapons.

Some examples:
> Main-hand: Hand of the Dark Animus (which is pretty much the best, stat-wise), Tia-Tia, the Scything Star.
> Off-hand: Iron Qon's Boot Knife, Fyn's Flickering Dagger.

Or you could have 2x Hand of the Dark Animus. The difference is not immense regarding what you have in your off-hand.

I started playing again rogue...and I want to ask if anyone tried mastery over haste on combat

I did not try it on purpose but a couple of months ago when I was still gearing up I did encounter a situation where my mastery was more than my haste, and after a bit of reforging and re-gemming, my DPS was better.

I havent played in a long time but,100k dps /30 mil damage with mostly mastery gear (about 47% mastery )and 3,8 k haste is good ? ,haste ill stack after i get some gear

Yeah, after 500 ilvl you should go for haste. Currently I'm having the following stat priority: Hit (7.5%) > Haste > Mastery > Crit.

Hello ,now i have 502 ilvl pve and ~7400 haste ,currently i have my pvp gear on armory ,i wanna know if 150k burst and 115k sustained is ok ?? i have currently as weapons https://armory.freakz.ro/item/95861 and https://armory.freakz.ro/item/81245 ,trinkets i have https://armory.freakz.ro/item/95802 and https://armory.freakz.ro/item/86043 but for now is hard to get better gear since i have no pve guild to play

Hello.

Those items are pretty good honestly. You will see in time, as you do more raids and get more gear, that for combat, haste is the best. Also, if you have 1155 valor points, you could buy: https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=94511 and replace your MV trinket with it.

From where i get it ? atm i have 935 valor ,this week I think i can buy it..and also rune seems to me..pretty op on rogue..almost all the time is up boosting my haste a lot

some recent fixes ? i do more aoe damage now ,also is good to use fan of knives ? (make me feel like im on wotlk again and thats awesome )
