Autobroadcast spam

Hello,
My question is: is there any command to turn off auto broadcast notifications? Its amount and frequency is overwhelming.



I know that broadcast might be useful for new players, but I'm playing here for several years now, and would gladly never see them again.

I would gladly second that. I've been here a week now and i would like the option to turn them off. They are very annoying and take allot of my chat window.
How about making them optional?

You could always just use a addon to filter it out.
If you use prat like I do, enable the custom filters module and put everything that annoys you in it.

To be honest I don't see why would one turn the autobroadcast off. I mean yes as an old player you are perfectly aware with the current futures that we offer but what about the new ones? We announce events and other important stuff true autobroadcast.

Not aware of too many people complaining about that. Join global channels and you won't see the autobroadcast so often ^^

That or just go to your chat tab -> Settings -> and uncheck System Messages

But if you do that, you won't see other system-messages in your chat tab, such as who invites you to a group or raid, or when someone comes online, etc.

My advice: create a new Chat Window, and have it not show System Messages, and use it most of the time, and leave your Main chat window as it is, with global channels and everything. That way you don't miss out Event, Announcements, or such things.

You should do a filter for global chat , maybe some IQ tests on forum and if they pass you give them the password for global . Just my opinion.

That will also hide gamemasters announcements, not a good idea
