I don't know if anyone has a similar problem, but since the Magmaw Update everytime a boss spawns many adds (Maloriak, Magmaw in this case) the whole raid starts lagging.
And it definitely are the adds, as soon as they are spawned the lag starts, and as soon as they are killed the lag is over. This happens at both Maloriak and Magmaw adds as other bosses don't spawn any big amount of adds.
Anyone else experiencing this? And happens for our whole raid.

I don't know how many people are having this problem but I've seen the pillar spawn under mele dps who are like <5 yards away from magmaw... Many guild runs wiped at magmaw because of this false pillar spawn. I am NOT jokin! A badly spawned pillar killed 1/2 of the raid(which is actually all mdps and the tank) before we even get the first chain or flame on the ground. I'm sorry but I don't have SS to prove it...

P.S. And yes, we ALWAYS had ATLEAST 2 members at range for the parasites.

Magmaw must be chained. Don't try to delay a tank death and just do as u must - use the chains in time. 2 persons in 10 m and 3 in 25 .
Use some voice program ( ventrilo or somth.) and arrange it - thats all.

actually, its bugged in 10 player mode..you need also 3 men to use the cains, instead of just 2.

we do it with 2 people chaining him on 10n and 10hc and there's no problem at all, maybe your freinds don't know where to use the chain, and they fail when they get up on the boss

@Ghef : I don't think so.. We did him just fine in all difficulties except 25hc if im not mistaken.

@Rexxar : By keeping the tank alive we made sure i would be a single tank run. - I was the backup tank on my prot pally and i used lay of hands on the main tank to keep him alive. -

it's very important that you don't fail with the chains, otherwise the tank will take massive amount of damage and inevitably will die, try to do that wright and you won't have any trouble beating the crap out of this boss

This topic is for bugs report, not tactics selling.. w/e in 10ppl you need 2men, in 25ppl you need 3men to chain him.
It works fine now.

It's not bugged. It has a slight delay. If the players asigned to this job do it fast enough, you don't need more than 2 -.

yes indeed, the delay probably disoriented us at the first tries at him and we remained with that ideea.. on 10 heroic we used 3 ppl to climb his head..tested right now with 2 and worked just fine..my bad

Acest lucru nu mai fuctioneaza asa cum ar trebui, atat pe 25 man cat si pe 10 man hc. Saptamana trecuta am facut pe 25 hc si desi erau 2 persoane in range de boss tot punea pilar of fire langa boss, iar in seara asta am facut pe 10 hc si la fel, desi sunt 2 persoane in range de boss pune pilar of fire sub persoanele de langa boss.

Icy Veins has some interesting info @ Pillar of flame

Magmaw will target members more than 15 yards away from him with Pillar of Flame in preferrence of members in melee range, provided that at least one such raid member exists in 10-man and two in 25-man (do note however that this does not seem to always be respected in 25-man). If no one is more than 15 yards away from Magmaw, he will simply target someone close to him.


Code:
Pillar of Flame will not always target the person(s) at range in 25-man and you will sometimes have your melee group hit by Pillar of Flame


Using more than 2 range should make this work fine.

@Zohl : Pe 25 am observat ca la 1 din 3-4 tryuri, da Pillar pe cei de langa el(90% din raid members), fara a tine cont ca sunt 2,3,4 playeri in raza de 15+ yards. => whipe.
