Bug description:

Gets applied to the main target too instead of just targets around your main target.


Proof:

Slow applies to everything within 8 yards of your target.

At 00:29 he applies "Slow" so you can clearly see "Sloooow Down" isn't supposed to be applied to your main target as the trait states.

Here's a test on a dummy. The trait which should only apply to targets around your main target is also applied to your main target which ends up with 2 slows.

How would this bug make a difference in gameplay? Other than the visual bug with target ending with 2 slows instead of one, there is absolutely no functional difference whatsoever.

Can confirm the bug, it is only visual.

It's not just visual, it's another dispel slot depending on what pvp talent u choose, but I'm not surprised you'd think that - most of your experience must stem from bugged private servers.

P.S. Also the trait's duration is unaffected by PvP snare duration reduction (which it should) so you can't possibly call it "just visual"...

True it's another dispel slot, but, to add to my point all dispel classes(holy priest, rsham, rdruid, mwmonk, disc etc.) in the game at the moment dispel all harmful magical effects from one dispel. So it really does not matter if you have 5 slows or 1 on you (other than the visual side), same dispel will remove all effects.

There is no PVP snare reduction for arcane mage slow, so I really don't know what you mean. Slow is spamable in PVP and it is always supposed to be 8 seconds ( see rage here: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/arcane-mages-spamming-slow/31978/12 ).

Blizzard never had Diminishing Returns in PVP for any slow spell in the game (any expansion, not just legion).

It does matter because there are different types of dispels depending on your pvp talents. You can dispel all - 8 sec cd or individually - no cd.

Slow has a reduced duration in PvP wheras the trait doesn't so you end up with a 15 sec snare. AND YES you can reapply the slow but that's beside the point! I never said there's a DR on snare.

I can clearly tell that you have no idea what you're talking about so please stop posting because you're not adding anything useful and just derailing from the topic.

I get your first point and it is correct, I totally forgot about individual dispels that would not apply for all debuffs. My mistake there, indeed that is a bug.

I think is safe to assume that I do way more arcane mage PVP than you. I have never seen a 15 seconds slow in PVP before or after fixes. Maybe support your argument with some proof.

The trait retains 15 sec duration even in PvP and that's not intended - clearly you don't do it as much as you claim you do. And it was working correctly in 7.1.5 (had reduced duration and wasn't applied to your main target) but then again you're used to bugs so again I'm not surprised.

So it's safe to assume not only you don't understand how the trait works or snare mechanics in PvP but you don't do PvP at all.

When patch updates comes up it generate a lot of bugs. What differentiates a good private server from a bad one is how devs fix issues.
I think making bug on your own server is rather stupid because it would cause a general discontent among the players and the server's decline -.

I was referring to 7.1.5 here. It was working correctly but I'm just astounded how people make shit up just to defend positive bugs, nothing more.
