no, i couldn't bring ignite to be more than 5th in my damage log. but he might be able to do that. not sure anymore.

First of all, the "bug" is caused by using Cinderstorm in the usual rotation. The reason I'm using Cinderstorm is because slightly more single target dmg and better AoE than Meteor. And the reason ignite goes way up to the top is because Cinderstorm causes ignite, meaning, each cinder that hits gives ignite (which does say so in the ignite tooltip btw). That is 6 cinders (if you are lucky to be at the perfect distance from the boss for all 6 to hit), each cinder doing atleast 80k crits if under combustion.

Now, is it an exploit? Could be, but a few thing to consider:

I have BiS single target legendaries: http://i.imgur.com/GokX2l8.jpg, http://i.imgur.com/8howub9.jpg and also have 53 traits http://i.imgur.com/Ji2Xomn.jpg and 880 ilvl.

And to prove that this "exploit" is not the reason I am pulling that dps, this is my dps without Cinderstorm and without double Bloodlust from my ring: http://imgur.com/a/sc4Fu.

As you can see, ignite is now second place way below Pyroblast, but my dps is still 500k without double BL, Flask, Food.

Test for yourselves the dps, test Cinderstorm dps when you are hitting all 6 cinders on the boss, and when you are hitting only 3. You would see a huge difference. If my dps would be that high on a non-normal difficulty raid and on heavy movement, I would be very happy.

Second of all: "i couldn't bring ignite to be more than 5th in my damage log". Then you are doing something wrong.

Ah, so its cinderstorm again...well ignite definitely wasnt doing 50% of mage's damage on retail even when using cinderstorm (especially on single target or minor cleave), so its a faulty interraction on freakz.

Yeah well, how much dps should an 880 almost BiS fire mage do? 300k? What do we even have to compare with while doing 7.0 raids with 7.1.5 spells? And if fire mage is doing too much dmg, then most other classes are doing too much aswell.

Ignite should not be #1 from what I know, anyway if Ignite can go that high only with cinderstorm it's bugged. Confirmed.

Yes it deals too much damage. Only arcane should deal high damage for a mage.

Instead of shitposting why dont you post some numbers, how big were the ignite ticks from that screenshot, which boss was it? You shitposting about arcane isnt helping at all, might aswell just close the topic again.

The problem is that Cinderstorm gives more ignite than it should, will return with screenshots.
