[General] PvP Bgs "target is too far away" for melee abilities

Bug description: It is very difficult to do dps as melee in Battlegrounds, because 70% of the time, when you try to hit a constantly moving player it will say "Target is too far away" or "Target not in front of you" although you clearly see the target is in range.

Feels like other players with 100% moving speed are faster than you are with 116%, also moving animations of some players looks weird and distorted... idk what more to say, you have to play some Bgs as DK DH or Warrior to understand what is going on.

If you have high latency, it might be due to your client being behind on the server, which would cause the server to not allow you to attack your targets.


Even if it is an issue for you without any high latency, you sohuld always supply video proof with reports.

If you do not supply proof of any kind, I will have to reject this report.

My latency is fine 70-80 ms constantly, asked my friends and they have same problem.

Ok so, I captured some pvp to be more clear of what I am talking...

I've got 20 ms and is happening to me as well. Even tonight when there were only 2k players on and no invasions.

I too already made a topic of distorted movement of players.

On retail for example when other players use Leap spells you can see their full jumping/moving animation, but here when others use Leap Charge etc, they disappear and reappear in other place in the blink of an eye, teleporting around like all have speed hack.

Everything is just so fast now, that you can't always tell in what exact direction your target has gone.

this bug is very annoying especially as melee in arenas/bgs because its making impossible to hit anyone

Seems much better now, at least my melee abilities can now reach the moving target.

There is still some desync when players move, but not as bad it was before.

Did not test in arena, only bg.

I can confirm this, standing behind a stunned target sometimes doesn't allow me to attack it, because it's too far away. Even tho it's stunned, so it's clearly not moving away from me.
