How To: Save settings permanently

Nope , they dont back its stay like on enter when get dc , meaning in default... . I see you didnt get any of this so you dont know about what some of ppl saying, you think that we dont know how to get it done, trust me we tried MANY diffrent solutions and it not helps, we start from easiest one like relog again and get back , and after his this harder one. For now works almost a week so we will see what happens.

there isn't any "many different solutions"

this topic contains and covers them all... others are only for specific situations. like i ask below...


but before this, please do the steps again, carefully, and use your brain, a little. you need admin privileges while doing the steps.

if problem persist, you are alone. try recording, taking screenshot. show me proof.

tell me your windows version and anti-virus type plus windows settings regarding restore point and bitlocker.

people don't and shouldn't reply "yes it worked"...

people do and should reply "it's not working for me, bla bla bla"

don't blindly say "it didn't work for me"
try struggling with it for a while and see where you're doing wrong.

I found that just : relaunch the game is the best way to now have your settings resetted

Disabling Read-Only and Taking ownership of all folders seems to be a good idea but the tools is not needed for that

Umm

i have a similar issue my folder of WoW Legion. ive renamed the folder, then removed the read only and after doing it, went back to read only. i've tried taking ownership as well. no antivirus blocking it as well. please advise

Hello.

Windows 10 64-bit. No AV.

Followed all steps:

- Have both launcher and wow.exe set to Run as administrator from properties.
- Have taken ownership of wow folder as instructed using downloaded script
- Have attempted to uncheck readonly from wow folder. The square comes back instantly, but I read that that is to be expected.
- Logged in to main, set abilities on action bars.
- Logged out of main, logged into alt.
- Logged out of alt, logged into main. Abilities just placed are gone, have to re-place.

Suggestions?

UPDATE:

Abilities disappear even when zoning into an instance. Any time there's a loading screen, the buttons are removed from my action bars.

UPDATE 2:

Abilities disappear when simply going from Blasted Lands to Outland via the Dark Portal. Also each time I use a portal from Dalaran.

this cannot protect you from hardware-related things... i.e. forced shutdown,.

forced shutdown just blasts everything.
