What's the PVE state of Hunter in Legion ? I'm interested in Survival spec - is it viable for PVE-ing?

With the current patch Hunters do scale as one of the top DPS classes on all fights. Survival is quite good but as far as I know, Marksmanship is pulling ahead if there are enough targets to cleave.

marksmen and bm for pve and survival for pvp thats my opinion

Not really (https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/11#class=Hunter&&difficulty=4) look at all star points, Survival seems to be the best out of the 3 specs, the problem is that suvival is no longer a range dps, and for melle is kinda meh, because would rather have a warrior/dh/dk then a survival in a raid. And the big problem with this spec is that is very hard to play at full potential.

yep but they are full geared players i think bm is the best choice for starting then mm when we have 880++ ilvl survival best options for a hunter players i dont play legion i dont wanna be a smartass but when i watch twitch players and videos on youtube i get that result

I've been watching alot of yt videos related to hunters (BM mostly) and they all seem to have this thunder wolf pet by their side along with regular pet, and no one says anything about it . Is that something from artifact weapon, talent or just second summoned pet? Someone explain

I want to try mm at first for pvp and if it sucks i will switch to surv, now the question is hunter meh, normal or it is good for pvp in legion?

I f you like having a zoo it is nice, you can have so many pets spawn it is really awesome. As for dmg i don't think it's the best spec for this patch but i see more bm hunter on 7.2.
