Hello fellow rogues!

First thing I want to discuss about Legion is chasing a spec. I will try playing assassination, in my opinion I think is the best option for patch 7.1.5 . Why ? Strong single target damage, good 2-3 target, defensive utility and mobility, and I feel more comfortable with this spec .
I would like to hear your opinion !

Heya ,yup ,assassination is pretty good on legion ,actually i think it's the best spec at this moment ,all cool stuff are related to assassination ,legendaries and trinkets make him a great damage dealer i will also play assassination so see you in there

I'll also go Assassination Rogue for a change
Seen them on retail during the 7.0 ~ 7.1.5 time, in PvE and PvP, and to me it's the only rogue spec that kept the identity. Makes it easier for AP as well, only gotta focus on one spec.

But we'll see how it goes when the realm is actually open for the masses.

I hate how combat is no more. It was my favourite rogue spec as it wasn't some completly 'shady' spec

Today I learned that https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=703 (wowhead link) can be used out of stealth . Share things that you discovered and let's help each other.

oh, you should be also aware, that 90% of the spells that had "Must be behind target" are castable from any position now such as garrote, stealth, shred, etc

but should deal more dmg if you strike from behind ,as far as I know

They don't, you don't miss at all if you attack from behind.

Also, outlaw is still competitive, even better than assassination if you have your rolls and BiS legendaries. I've seen some subtlety action too but it's harder to play than both assass and outlaw.

My friend got me in this PTR and he told me he would whoop my rogue's *** (which is assassination) with his demon hunter, so I leveled up my rogue and when I got it max level he told me come and duel me, I got in stealth and deleted this *** within 4 sec, did not expect this honestly. Lesson learned, don't underestimate assassination rogues.

Assassination rogues are quite good when it comes to PvP.

Well in my opinion and with my experience with playing on Retail. All 3 specs have their ups and downs, Sub is more mobile than all 3 and mostly mid damage spec with amazing cc capability, Assassination is high damage spec with high pressure potential (damaging more than one target at same time). And outlaw is really Ranged/Melee kind of spec, with RNG elements, diverse gameplay, really bursty tho. Note that this is my opinion only.

i don't know really but i think that assass rogue aren't the best in legion i mean subtlety i just so mobile and shadow dance is almost unlimited which can mean a lot of damage am really sure that sub will outplay assass
