[Pandaria, Timeless Isle] Gleaming Crane Statue and reaching Garnia

Bug description: The Gleaming Crane Statue doesn't send you up high enough in the air to reach Garnia's place on her hill, with the red water streaming down it, even with using a glider. Garnia's pet item is required for the achievement Going to Need A Bigger Bag, and since you can't fly on the island nor use the albatross method to reach it (the albatrosses were mentioned in a different forum post), the achievement is rendered incompletable and you can't obtain the pet.
Proof: https://imgur.com/a/3TOLVlt both images document my attempt to try and reach Garnia's hill, ending in a failure because the statue didn't send me high enough in the air and so I ended up landing at the base of the hill instead of reaching the top.

Confirmed, you should be able to get higher using the statue.
