Well, in the Blacklist topic which I linked - the topic creator (list maker) usually talks with other players about how the problem happened.

If a player explained things well - that no ninja looting happened, or that a player was being greedy / noobish - then it gets taken into consideration, and not simply marked as "OMG NINJA KILL HIM!".


Regarding your second point, I have, for many years and in many servers - always prioritized the PERFORMANCE of a player rather than his roll.

If someone rolls 100, yet he does DPS below a healer, or a tank, then he deserves nothing except the laughter of other people.

Also, I would say that someone who slacks that bad, and demands an item, should also be "blacklisted" = for being greedy and contributing nothing.

What you do not understand that it cannot be defined that easily. Along with false reports and other things consider this:

Let's say we have a raid where I am the master looter(meaning I decide how I give out the loot). Let's say there is someone in the raid that was very bad or just went afk or died in the first second of the encounter and he was the one with the highest roll. At the same time there is someone with a roll slightly lower than is that actually did something. With your report system if the one that afk'ed didn't get his shiny loot because of this but rolled higher could report the leader for "ninja looting" and the leader would get banned. This is just one of many cases.

tl;dr A system like this has too many variables to be efficient.

PS: People that ninja loot will be shunned from the community in due time, it's happened before it will happen again.
