Bug description: The projectile reaches targets ( other than priest ) instantly granting the priest combat status , this makes saping after shadowstep-kick / deep freeze / redicrect-kidney impossible .

I tested this and it doesn't grant combat status to the priest.
Can you please bring some proof regarding this?

You are basicly casting as spell on a target which is in combat..I don`t see anything wrong

Look where is the projectile , nowhere near the druid and he gained the buff already , thats the bug . The buff is gained instatly by target even if the projectile did not reached them .
Ill explain once more why this effects rogue . For example : rogue redirect-kidney a priest ( last 5 sec , it takes 6 seconds to leave combat ) , if no one is near the priest u can sap them because the projectiles of their spells have to flying to their targets . This happend in the video i posted , priest got cc`ed and rogue saped the priest because the prayer of mending did not reached the ret . U cant do that here since the target of your prayer of mending gets the buff instatly therefore u enter combat .

Tested it on live now and the mending effect was applied before the projectile reached the target.

About the combat now, it took between ~0.5 and ~1.2 seconds to put my priest in combat after the spell was casted, however I must remind you that you have near 0 latency on freakz while on live it can go from 50 to 200ms (for RDS isp), I had 144ms at the time of testing.
Taking that into account we can say it is near instant (150 ms for casting and another 150 ms for the server to check if the character that we casted our spell was in combat), we can reach up to ~300ms, probably less probably more depending on how the server does the check resulting in a maximum of 0.2 seconds time for rogue to sap the target(and we can add the fact that the rogue will also need enough time to get the message that the priest is now out of combat, otherwise the client won't accept the sap input, and by the time the client gets the go from server the priest will be back in combat resulting in a error for the rogue) which is impossible (except if the rogue can bend time for his advantage).

Probably I will upload a video on how the mending is applied on live

Thank you for posting , your reply is correct . Its all about latency . Ive posted this because in the video linked in the first post you can clearly see that the ret gained the buff after the projectile traveled about 90% of its distance ( being in rets meele range ) .

The buff is applied to the target as soon as the cast ends instead of being applied when the cast reaches the target?




Fixes will be live only after a server restart !
