WoW Freakz link: PVE npc scaling
Bug description: I'm not sure if this is related to PVE scaling 100-110, but there seems to be some weird mechanic that reduces my damage dealt by a lot. I don't know if it affects all mobs, but I've definetely seen it happen to more than 1 kind of mob. This is just one example. Sometimes I have to spend 1 minute to kill a single mob. When 2 mobs come, I have to run off.

Excuse me for using your topic but I also want to add that you're not getting the bonus damage for NPC's lower than your level.
For example:

At 62, you get a modifier that scales in Vanilla dungeons.

At 72, you get a damage modifier in BC dungeons that scales with level difference.

At 82, you get a damage modifier in LK dungeons.

At 87, you get a damage modifier in Cata dungeons.

Also the mobs are able to hit you, and they hit hard like you're on their level. For example I went to Naxx and tested. Trash npc which was level 82 ( I was 101 already), it was hitting me for arround 5k. This shouldnt be like this. The combat formula needs to be revised for sure

I tried BT last night was doing 40 k hit's on lvl 67 mobs so i confirm what the bulgarian guy is saying.

About the low level npcs, it's true you deal low damage to then when you should 1shot everything which has the level in grey color.

Also about the main post, it's true. I don't know why but with my dh sometimes I kill a npc in 3-4~ strikes but I need lot of time to kill others.

And yeah, if you face 2+ npcs as dps you are dead, take for example my char, dh tank and can't survive against 5-6~ npcs and if I survive is pure luck.

Another thing that I've noticed is that some npcs require a certain amount of hits, rather than a certain amount of damage, to be killed.
For example:
1 mob with 3000k HP - 15 hits required
1 mob with 150k HP - 15 hits required
I don't know why, but when a mob has more hp, i deal a lot more damage, even more than my normal damage (i deal 50k damage, and the npc takes 150k, don't know the exact numbers), but when a mob is lower hp, i deal 4-5 times less damage than I should.
I don't think that's how scaling should work. It should apply to npc level, so it has the same level as you do, and its' damage and health upgraded according to its' level, but again, I'm not an expert on this matter.

Confirmed. I tested that in Molten Core. You can actually get killed at level110 if you aggro too many mobs. Also, Ragnaros kills you in 2 shots, he deals over 500k damage per hit.

That is a separate issue. I've also noticed that npcs deals a lot of damage with both melee hits and spells in lower level areas, but that's not related to the PVE scaling in Legion. PVE scaling in Broken Isles is related to the mobs having the same level as you do, and scaling its HP and damage accordingly.

The initial issue mentioned was fixed here https://forum.wow-freakz.com/FIXED-PvE-Val-Sharah-Hostile-health-problem-t459176.html, it seems it was the same problem

There may still be some isolated issues, especially for spells with custom "damage % health" mechanics, although I fixed most of them
