Bug description: Cannot load into the game after updating to 7.3.5, tried several characters, the loading bar gets stuck at about 90%, basically cannot enter the world, no idea how to fix that.

To add a bit of clarification here.
I am using Arch Linux, 64-bit and running wine-5.5 in a 32-bit wineprefix
The 7.2.5. client worked just fine, when i updated to the latest version using the new 7.3.5 this issue arose.

what is the output of the wine when you launch?

I'm using the 64-bit launcher with the wine 5.6 and it works just fine

Well, aside from the logs from the launcher's cmd window being redirected to my terminal, i also had this line spammed for a bit.

Another abnormality i noticed is that one of the characters i tried logging in shows up as dead on the character select screen, dunno if either of those are gonna be of any help, i'll try updating wine though.
Edit: nvm, apparently the wine version i have is the most recent in the repos, although there is a 64 bit version in the AUR

Hm, are you using Direct3D from the wine or DXVK? That looks like the output of the Wine build in Direct3D

I forgot to mention this before but I'm using DXVK with Wine. Without it the performance of any game is bad. Try to see if the game runs better with DXVK.

I do use DXVK, at least i believe i do, because i do have it installed, but i'm presuming i have it configured incorrectly

If you don't know what libraries you need to overwrite use a launcher, something like Lutris that detects the DXVK and sets the configuration for the game when it launches

well, I run into the loading screen problem today. I upgraded to the newest wine-staging 5.7 and the load screen was stuck at 90% like the one in the screenshots.

So, I downgraded+locked the packages back to 5.6 and everything worked fine. I'm too lazy to go over the logs to figure out what broke in wine or wow

I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 with the latest updates minus wine(locked at 5.6). Nvidia drivers 440 from Ubuntu/Debian and the packages needed for DXVK.

DXVK package is dxvk_0.96+ds1(the one for the Ubuntu distro), Arch Linux has a bit more complicated installation and you should remember if you actually did that. If you didn't install dxvk then you're using the wine 3d libs and that changes a lot.

I'm using Lutris launcher because I don't want to write by hand the DXVK libraries overwrites. I'm using DXVK 1.6 but the 1.6.1L works too and the wine is set to 64bit.

This wine/dxvk setup runs every game from 10 years ago up to the current game releases(except games with rootkits or crap .net launchers)

Pardon for thread inactivity, i've been doing some shaman dancing to compile wine-staging 5.6 on my end, rn compiling it, will report once i try it out, i could've saved myself time and used a cached wine package from pacman, but i didn't have the 5.6 package cached : (
Edit: Success! It paid off and the game finally loaded into the world, now to set up my addons that i updated.
