Proof Freakz: Legendary cloak proc in the first round of SOTA.


Proof Freakz 2: The ss was made in bg.


#1. The ss was made in AB bg. I noticed the proc and scrolled up to make the ss.

#2. Do you see my character engaged in combat or dead in the ss? Was in ICC and i queued for bg after i reseted the raid difficulty.

#3 You can see the info on Recount Addon and the heal from druid's Ysera's Gift in the combat log.

#4. You should test for yourselves as GMs before taking a wrong decision.

Even if this was Hotfixed on retail; it shouldnt here! When the cloak became available in the shop players were told it will procc in bgs. They will (myself as an example) buy cloak just for PvP and Battlegrounds. If this was to be changed now, Freakz would scam all those who already bought it for PvP (Battlegrounds) wich I know quite a few people has! myself included.
Its not like having a cloak difference between winning/loosing. The impact is minimal in pvp environments because of PvP resillience and PvP power.


Maybe not the best place to post this but I think its something important to think about!

You said it yourselves: Bring proof before posting anything .
My topic shows the proc of the Legendary Cloak in pvp enviroment.
1st ss in SoTA: see in combat log.
2nd ss in AB: ss was taken after bg. scrolled up to check.

Now before you say NO! or reject my topic you should bring proof that it doesn't proc on Freakz.
Show a little professionalism...or it seems like you don't want it to be fixed.

@ Erudax: Check my topic first word by word. Bring your own proof after you check the bug if you think otherwise.

The thread is from 2014 which is well into patch 5.4 and there you have a post saying it should not proc in arena or BGs, but only in world pvp.

There's also the tweet from Holinka, and the Arena Junkies post, which says that it should not proc against players.

Finally you have a hotfix (not a player thread) from September 13th 2013 where it says that the effects of the cloak will not activate while fighting other players. I don't know about you but I trust hotfixes and tweets made by Holinka more than threads made by players on the blizzard forums.

I'm sure I can find more info on this if you wanted. The conclusion is that the cloak should not proc against players in Arena, Rated BGs or normal BGs. It should work however in world PvP / duels. Both the Legendary Cloaks and the Legendary Meta Gems are both considered "legendary items" and they both received the same treatment when it comes to activation in PvP instances.

Saying that it should work in non-rated BGs is completely wrong as Battlegrounds, whether they are rated or not, are both considered "PvP instances".

The gem works against players in wpvp, however the cloak doesn't. If you want the cloak proc to hit a player, you'll have to attack a mob near them to cause the cloak to proc then it will hit them.''

just duel a friend and let your auto attack hit them over and over and over, you'll find that it doesn't proc even once.

now shoot at a random beast near by and it will proc asap, then quickly retarget your friend and it will continue proc-ing on them.

Any instances where your cloak may have proc'd during pvp, was probably because a near by beast/critter was intentionally targeted or killed by AoE which triggered a proc.

Either case, I've never had an issue with the cloak breaking any CC in World PVP and it never ever procs in Arenas of course.''

Also, what are we supposed to take as valid: players commenting in a discussion thread with no proper proof to their statements or hotfixes/patch notes? I understand the whole scaling issue and that the stats should remain on the cloak, but the proc? That should only work in duels and world pvp. And it makes sense to work that way.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking any sides but I'm tired of seeing too many threads on this issue which are closed with proof being just forum discussions. A video would be nice.

It should not proc vs players at all.
Blizzard made this for good reasons.
The cloak scales down in pvp zones and it doesn't proc vs players at all.

The Legendary Cloaks will not proc against players in rattet pvp (2 v 2; 3 v 3 etc...), but will proc in rest of WoW world (BG, duel etc) and the reason is: In WoW world exist another pve encounters like area bosses or rare encounters and in bg the cloack will proc because it is not ratted pvp event like 2v2 or 3v3 (concrete ex: Alterac Valley, in this bg, if you beat down the boss of opossite team/faction you win the bg, if i have the cloack in this bg and this cloack doesn`t proc against the boss= cloack is useless). And about the proc of legendary cloack against players: That`s was a discution before 5.4.8 release on blizzard!

The Legendary cloak just doesn't proc vs players.
Its proc effect is disabled in pvp zones: bg/arena.
It procs vs NPCs in world but it doesn't proc vs players.

An item can't work the way you want for it to work.
Legendary cloak was hotfixed not to proc vs players anymore.

Just because you have the item and you want to have ''fun'' with it, that doesn't mean it has to work wrong.
