Bug description: XP rate for killing mobs (in world and in instances) seems to be off. Before the 7.3.5. patch they used to give a lot more.

Actually, XP and reputation rates are off.

For example: XP rate 1-90 is supposed to be 10x, whether for killing or quests. 7x in WoD and 3x in Legion.

I looked into my settings on the website, which I never changed. The only thing I changed way back when was the rate of junk which dropped.

It clearly shows 5x as the max, not 10x like advertised, and it can be felt in game as well (at least under lvl 90).

I'm pretty certain Rep rates were supposed to follow the XP rate as well. Not be 3x maximum, as shown in my screenshot of the website settings.

Example: Before 7.3.5 patch was deployed, using an Insignia from Pandaria (such as Celestials or Golden Lotus) would reward 10 000 rep (10x, as the insignia tooltip mentions giving 1 000 rep).

I just used two on my newly created nightborne. Lo and behold, it only gives 1 000 xp, not 10 000xp like it technically should.

I have yet to test WoD xp and rep rates. Same for Legion, although I bet Legion is working as intended.

With that being said, I don't really mind the halving of the XP because I don't mind leveling and questing. However, the hit to rep is bothering me a whole lot more, as an achievement completist and reputation chaser.

At least, do not advertise the Rates are working properly when they're not, lest you trigger legions of haters and frustrated players.
