I haven't tried to do this without flying. I do wonder if it would work with someone who has a two-seater mount and can fly... Worth a shot.

I waited for Thalyssra to take the portal, in case going forward ahead of her could bug it out.
No one is there when you arrive.

We are talking about a quest following the scenario, which was fixed and now progresses.
The quest Fighting on All Front was indeed removed in 7.3.5 from the Insurrection storyline on retail and I can confirm that the mission quests you complete do not even register as counting.
I completed 3 and none have registered ...

I have tried every suggestions mentioned here or on trello. NOTHING works, I always bug out on stage 1 with Thalyssea and Liadrin NOT moving at all. Bottom objective of part 1 sometimes completes, sometimes not. Upper one does not.
