Anyone know how to fix teh: "Fail to set signature (696A2A7901D60F4C71AE813B5D726CAF) for file (DBFilesClient\PetPersonality.dbc)." error?

you probabely updated to the newest Retail Patch you need to redownload your world of warcraft since Blizz putted some "anti-private server" stuff in that patch.

Download the 4.0 from Freakz and patch / update to 4.06 mate sure to not update further and use the frealz launcher and not the retial one or you got the same problem again.

The problem is, i haven't updated my wow. It's still 4.3, not 4.3.2. Any other way to fix it w/o re-downloading the entire game?

Edit: Sorry, it was 4.2. I'm updating it to 4.3.2 now and moving to retail cuz i'm too lazy to DL the game again

You don't have to download the whole game again.

If you have a torrent link with installed Cata already just run it with Torrent and select these files.



(Make sure you don't select 'Data' and 'Updates' folders)

After your download finished, open the folder and copy all the files and paste them into your WoW directory (overwrite !everything!) This worked for many people so I think it would be good for you as well.

Also I recommend you to rename your Launcher.exe to something else (or delete) like 'Launcher' without '.exe'

Well, your method worked but this loading is killing me! First i had to wait 20 mins before my wow start then 10 more mins for it to load my characters and now i'm waiting 20 more mins for world to load. Do this occur only once or i'll have to wait every time?

Edit: Looks like i'll have to re-download the entire game. I keep getting errors while loading the world.

wow, sorry to say but some persons really use crappy PC's -.-' 30minites to get in wow?!?

Seems I'm a lucky guy with a average waiting time of 3 sec to launch wow. it takes me longer to set the pass than to load everything ...

My load time is 5-6 sec but using his "fix" made my loading UBER slow.

anyway, this is probably late but clicking the wow retail exe or launcher even though you managed to cancel it a few seconds later will still end up not to able to play in any private server, believe me i know since Im using deep freeze.

That's what i did at first place. I clicked on WoW.exe and it opened teh launcher, i closed it asap but it *** up my WoW
Anyway, i Re-DLed teh game and i'm raping teh alliance

So guys, i re-installed my windows yesterday and since then i can't start my wow client. I keep getting the: "Failed to open archive Data/wow-update-13164.MPQ. Missing or corrupted data." error.

I've re-downloaded that archive, updated my drivers, used same windows 7 copy, only thing i changed from my last system is antivirus software. I used to use Avast but now i switched to Nod32.

Anyone know the cause or fix to this?

This issue is the Blizz one. You must have runned the wow.exe again. make sure you don't do that. I think the most easy way to do it is download freakz.ro torrent

Update to 4.06 not further. ONLY USE the Freakz-wow.exe to launch your game.
