[Rogue][PvE][PvP] Shadowstep

Descrierea bugului / Bug description: Sometimes when using Shadowstep you just get the buff for the movementspeed bonus but you dont get the dmg buff and you dont get ported behind the Boss. Just happens to me in PvE(aka if the target is an NPC, i think happened on totems aswell) and on random occasions and is really annoying ...
Dovada / Proof: Really hard to screen this, but i am sure other rogues experienced the same issue and can confirm it.

Update: happened to me in BH several times today. From what i can recall it happens there quite often.

Update3: Also , if you use Shadowstep on a mob thats running back to his actual position and u use Shadowstep("Evade" appears obviously) its the same, just the speeddebuff , no dmg bonus, not sure if that helps finding the problem.
Update4: A way to reproduce this bug with a 100% success rate: Target a friendly player, focus the target u want to Shadowstep and use focus keybind/focus macro for Shadowstep. Might be related to the original issue.

Well yeah...it's kinda hard to make a proof of it since it happens randomly...but i can confirm that this happens.

Don't just confirm so lightly. A more relevant post for this topic is one where you try to mention exactly on what boss/mob/encounter/moment in the fight/blabla it happens. The only way this bug will be confirmed and finally fixed is by finding a repro rate for this seemingly random occurrence of at least 50%+.

Well, the problem about this bug is that its totally random. I didnt notice any relation to any action so this happens yet. Also its rather rare, but it happens in like 1 out of 20 cases I'd say. Regarding on what boss/mobs, it happened to me on Swines in Durotar but also on Bosses like Yorsaj etc.. So I guess it can happens on every NPC, and like i said i think on totems it can happen aswell.

Indeed those prints prove that the dmg buff doesnt get triggered ,only the speed buff

Yor'Sahj is known for his hitbox problems.
First, it was a hunter's problem.
Now, as a feral druid, i find more than annoying the visual bug regarding the position where i can shred. In the phase that the oozes spawn and travel to the boss it looks like you are at his back but you can't shred and if you move in the front you can. This might be a possible bug to bug your shadowstep.
Never had such a problem with killing spree. There are another problems with it but never this one.

tbh, i think this bug might be related to the feral charge bug? from what i know it also happens randomly

It doesn't. I play rogue every single day here and my shadow step always works so it's somewhere your problem. It used to happen to some players on 4.0.6 but after disabling some addons it worked.
