(Trinket) Feverish Carapace / (Cloak) Gravewarden Cloak Disappeared

Character Info: Placefiller 110 Orc Death Knight--Felsong

Bug description:
Ran LFR Tos on my Blood Death Knight "Placefiller" won the items "Feverish Carapace" (trinket) form Goroth and "gravewarden cloak" (teir cloak) from The Desolate Host.
after LFR i logged off of my death knight in dalaran(broken isle), and logged on my Paladin Itastepurple to do 3 invasion quests. logged back on my Death knight and both items were not on my character not in my bags or my bank.

We are aware of the problem and hope to get it fixed soon. Unfortunately, we are only able to restore legendary items - regular epics can not be restored.

A tip for the future: The issue seems to happen less frequently if the items you loot are not looted into your first bag. I recommend filling the first bag with consumables, reagents, hearthstones etc so no dungeon/raid loot gets looted there.

so the response is "oh well" . . .you cant even gen items and send them to players after theyve given you photo evidence of having them? when it was in NO fault the players said items were
lost? is it really a "sucks to be me" scenario? whats to say i dont start all over again on this character and then i get even farther and this happens again. is there no saftey? no guranteed that we wont be randomly ruined for no reason and with no recompense?

As I said, we're aware of the issue and working on a fix, but right now there is nothing we can do unfortunately.
Please follow the tips I posted earlier to help prevent this, even though this is not a guarantee it does help.
