C'thun was killed during vannila in the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj instance, though lorewise, it is not sure that he was truly killed cuz that would mean a whole portion of Kalimdor would be afflicted with a curse similarly with the one in Pandaria caused by the demise of Y'shaarj.

The one that is supposed to be the first that brings life is Anduin Wrynn, as he is some sort of child of the prophecy. Prophet Velen on the Draenei foresaw a great war between the light and the darkness and Anduin was the leading character of the united Azeroth forces of the Light.

I don't quite remember when or where i had read this, but as much as i recall, is something like this.

Maybe the one who you prefer as being killed by Arthas is King Terenas Menethil II, Arthas' father.
