banned for launcher incompatible

was playing normally when a message appeared saying that my launcher is not compatible with the game. I have 5 characters lvl 110 and was playing at about 4 hours, out of nowhere this message appeared and I was banned for a day

I find it hilarious that the devs commit numerous FCC violations for the USA, by having their launcher RAM scan software they don't own a single iota of. I mean, I dont really care, but its still funny. Launcher cant know it wasn't used to launch WoW.exe unless it scans for its memory hook.

Besides the realmlist modification on launch, it looks like the only other modifications the launcher does are the annoying mail popups, and the various text warnings for stuff like interface file updates, "not using our launcher" warning, and the force close if youre not using their launcher. Which ... are all 100% illegal modifcations. Again, I dont really care, and Im not gonna report them or anything, but still. Come on, dont be THAT arrogant.

Don't get the wrong idea, Im not saying any of this to call them out. If i have an issue with it, I can just leave. I dont have to play here. Its just ... its really obvious and blatant. Makes me facepalm.
