[FIXED] interface still losing certain settings randomly on launch...

Bug description:
this is a re-post of a rejected bug report I made last night which you can see in the above linked forum thread. I viewed the suggested page related to folder permissions and performed the following steps.

Opened a windows explorer, removed the read only from the directory recursively.
launched the game. reinstated my settings etc, logged out, logged back in, settings were gone.

rebooted to Linux (dual boot) and ran 'chmod -R a+rw * ' on the game directory, rebooted, launched and set my settings which again were lost on the following launch.

launched the game as administrator, reinstated my settings, quit game, relaunched and.. settings were gone again.

Some settings are retained sometimes, others are lost, this is somewhat random. some settings are always lost.

I accept that this might be an issue with my system but I have no idea where. I think it 'COULD' be a problem with your code because for most of the first two days of playing on this server the game did not behave like this. today is my third day (so im an expert now

I will now attempt to force windows to do a trim on my C: drive and run a file system check on it. I do not believe there are any errors on this drive however.

Update: while playing in game. Drag tiny shale spider pet back out to caster bar. die... and its gone. dont even need to leave the game, if i die it is wiped from the caster bar.

update 2:
ran file system check at boot, all ok.
deleted WTF directory except for config file. also removed the cache again.
i am able to retain certain settings across launches that used to get lost such as chat window placement, font size and opacity etc however, my caster bars are STILl losing any new spells I add to them. I am also remembering now that caster bar state is SERVER SIDE not client side - what ever problems im having is due to a snafu at your end. I know caster bar state is stored server side because if i play on a different machine where I have never played here before I do not need to reinvent my caster bar when i load a player.

This whole happen because you're a linux user right ? I don't know how it works, i will leave this open but it may take quite some time before someone can help you because of that.
