as i tould u in other post your main caracter spec inherit some talents from the second spec. somehow this staking talents on some spec give him extra damage

Vengeance caps at a number equal to Stamina plus 10% of base health, which is lower than 10% of health.
For example, when my prot paladin has 150k hp, max vengeance is 12k attack power.

Concerning the OP, there have been some reports of paladins who transfered from one server to another while their char had a prot spec,
changed specs from prot to retri, and somehow kept some of the abilities of prot specialization: vengeance might not even be the only one.
