I.Intro

The hunter was improved (in pve) but also drawback (in pvp). The hunter is in top 3 at DPS in raids. This tutorial is for those who don't understand the hunter in 4.0.6.

News for hunters:

4 new spells :

1.Cobra Shot (wowhead link) (level 81): A new shot that deals nature damage instead of physical damage. This ability shares the same CD with Steady Shot. When you deal Cobra Shot, your Serpent Sting is refreshed.
2.Trap Launcher (wowhead link) (level 83): When you use it, you can throw any of your trap to a maximum of 40 yards. Freezing arrow is removed because the trap launcher does the same thing. Has 1m CD.
3.Camouflage (wowhead link) (level 85): This spell is like Predator (if you have seen the movie Alien vs Predator ) . Any damage done/taken makes this spell to disappear. The hunter can move and lay traps in camouflage and will recieve a bonus damage if he attacks while he's in camouflage.
4.Aspect of the Fox (wowhead link) (level 83): Blizzard introduced a new aspect and removed aspect of dragonhawk. With this aspect you can cast Cobra Shot and Steady Shot while moving and if you are attacked by a melee attack you gain 2 focus!

And one of them was changed :

1. While casting Chimera you gain 5% from your HP

A new important talent was added Master Marksman (wowhead link) . After 5 stacks (made by casting steady shot ) you will proc Fire! (wowhead link) , and you'll cast an aimed shot without requiring focus.

Because hunters had a problem with mana while raiding or pvp'ing, blizzard came with an idea and replaced mana with focus. Before to get to the next chapter, armor pen was removed, and the hunter forced to play with agility.

Hit Cap = 8 % ( 961 )
Haste soft cap = 15% (9,464 haste rating)
Hit cap > Agi > Crit > Haste > Mastery

3.Enchants
-Head: Arcanum of Ramkahen - 60 agi/35 haste (Ramkahen revered).
-Shoulders: Greater Inscription of Shattered Crystal 50 agi/25 mastery (Therazane exalted).

-Chest – Peerless Stats - 20 stats
-Wrists – Agility – 50 agility
-Gloves – Major Agility – 20 agility

I recommend you these pets
Cat
Wolf

I recommand to get in your raid 2 hunters with Cats and Wolfs. Why? Because you will get the following buffs casted by these pets constantly: Furios Howl (wowhead link) si Roar of Courage (wowhead link)

VI.Consumables

-Flask Flask of the Wind or Cauldron of Battle (wowhead link)
-Fed Food Skewered Eel or Seafood Magnifique Feast
-Potion Potion of Tol’Vir ( Use it after casting Rapid Fire / Heroism / Bloodlust)

VII.Race

Orc > Troll > Tauren > Undead . ( Goblin and Belf are for PVP )
Worgen > Draenei > Dwarf . ( Night Elf and Human are for PVP )

VIII.Rotation

1.Careful Aim Phase: Target Health > 80
2.Standard Phase: Target Health 80% - 20%
3.Termination Phase: Target Health 25% - 20%
4.Execute Phase: Target Health 20% - 0%

1. First phase "Careful Aim Phase" :

Priorities:
-Serpent Sting
-Mark

A rotation that has as priority Aimed Shot (considering that you alredy put sting on the boss)

Steady x 2 --> Aimed --> Steady x 2 --> Aimed

When you have 5 Master Marksman, cast aimed and then come back to the first rotation.

Another rotation based on aimed but under BL/Rapid Fire/Haste potion effect:

2. Second phase "Standard Phase" :

-Serpent Sting must be alredy on the boss
-Cast arcane shot when you are not under BL effect, if you are under BL effect cast Aimed Shot

Another aimed based rotation.

Chimera --> Arcane x2 --> Steady Shot x5

or Chimera --> Steady Shot x2 -->Arcane x2 --> Steady Shot x3
HINT:You should recieve an instant Aimed every rotation

3.Third phase "Termination Phase"

-Serpent Sting must be alredy on the boss
-Keep the phase two rotation "Standard Phase"

4.Forth phase "Execute Phase"

-Serpent Sting-ul must be on boss

umm bro can u help me a bit with my dps i am a night elf hunter i knw night elf dsnt go with hunter for pve but i wanted it for both so made a night elf my dps goes to max 17k with flask and food 18k where as hunter do like 23-24k dps i dnt get it y my dps is so low and i think i am pretty well geared
ilevel 356 please help i need it seriously
