[How to] 4.0.6a to 4.3.4 With only 15 MB download.

So yes there might be some people that don't have the time or internet speed to download 28 GB at once.
For these people i got a solution.

Basicly: Download this rar and extract it into your Wow Folder. NOTE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY ON 4.0.6 ANYMORE WITH THIS FOLDER
Better make a backup just in case you want to play on other 4.0.6 servers or something.

Then: run the RunMe.bat file it applies files for 4.3.4.
after that you can run the Wow.exe and start playing on 4.3.4 BUT it will download all the remaining files of 4.3.4 whilst playing.

If you want make it sticky if not then not ^^

Technically it should work thanks to the data streaming feature, however I'm not so sure if it would work if you modify the patchlist in your Config.wtf and realmlist.wtf, and also that will be a really slow client since it will be forced to download everything on the fly (Invisible walls, missing sound, painfully long loading times and whatever else).

Well it takes quite some time to fully complete it but some people already have textures of walls and such on their 4.0.6a so it wont take that long to patch the remaining files^^ i downloaded my whole Wow Files with this. same day done and i could play the entire time.

I can confirm that this is working atm to play on the ptr, will edit the post once the download finishes.

Out of interest, can you confirm exactly how this works? Would I be right in assuming that setting the patchlist to localhost forces the client to check files through the mfil and tfil files which then downloads the corresponding files from the Blizzard patch servers or is there more to it than that?

The default wow launcher used to get the patches as a torrent with the option of a regular http download. So I'm guessing it grabs the data from blizzard.

I can confirm this works too. I tried to download the 4.3.4 on this website and would not work for me so I tried this and it worked as stated and was faster.
