Login Server Down

I've tried to connect to the server for hours and say's either Login server Down or Unable to connect please help

Try changing your realmlist to set realmlist wow.freakz.ro.

Is there something i need to change/re-name/delete in the folder besides the realmlist, cuz it keeps saying login server down.

Are you using 4.0.6 or 4.3.4 client?

i was using the 28gb 4.3 edition, im gonna try the 14gb edition and c how it goes...

Did you remember to turn the .txt back into a .wtf?

I was having the same issues because I forgot to revert it back to a .wtf file.

im extracting the 14gb edition as we speak, so incase the same thing happens can you tell me step by step where and how to change that file?

Sorry for being so late on the reply. The 14gb already has the realmlist set.

However, in case you ever need to change the realmist here's what you do.

Find the realmist.wtf file in you wow folder. Right click it, hit rename and change it to "realmlist.txt".
It will change it to a notepad file.
Copy and paste this realmlist over what ever the current one is:

set realmlist wow.freakz.ro

Now, save it and rename the file back to "realmlist.wtf".
IF it still is a text file you'll need to find out how to make your PC show file extensions and try again making it into a .wtf file.

Should be good to go then.

Thank you very much ... now i have another problem, the client wont load up, all i get is my mouse with the loading thing and nothing comes up, any idea wat could be wrong now?

Could you clarify this a bit better? From what I think is happening, you double click the WoW application and it launches but then nothing occurs? I.e the WoW application doesn't show up visually on your screen? If this is the case, this was fixed for me by doing a restart of my own computer.

If the application itself won't show up on your screen, it means this is entirely client side (you not wow.freakz). Have you double checked that you haven't intermingled the files from the larger WoW folder and the smaller one you downloaded later?

I click the client and nothing happens, just get the loading thing next to my cursor and thats about it. I open the task manager and i c the launcher opening and closing dunno whats going on.

Just a hint: no need to rename the .wtf files, just "Open With... > Notepad" (or Notepad++, like me).

i have the same problem although everything looks fine!checked realmlist and such but still login server down

I finally solved my problem. I had a nod32krn.exe bug on my pc, had to use the Unlocker program to get rid of it. All's back to normal, thank you for every piece of help people,thank you very much
