When I try to open it, nothing happens.

I have already tried this,

For anyone who will have problem with the opening of the app:
1) Open Terminal
2) Right click on World of Warcraft and select "Show Package Content"
3) Browse to World of Warcraft/Contents/MacOS/World of Warcraft. The icon should be blank, and the file size should be larger then the rest.
4) Back to terminal, write sudo chmod u+x DRAG_FILE_LOCATION_HERE drag the World of Warcraft to Termina, write your password and press Enter.
Close everything up and play.

AND also with SPACE after X.

I have had it on my old mac and worked perfect but I upgraded and now i cannot make it work again.

Can anyone help me please?

Someone suggested to.. here is him talking..

"Got it working. I confirm, it works on OS X 10.8.3.

The guys who're getting permission denied error, make the file executable first, it will work for sure."

I am also getting permission dined error, but don't understand how to make the file executable.. ?

I am just guessing that I it means to edit>write .exe at the end of it? which doesn't make sense to do it on mac..

Any help please?

Thanks a lot,
Mano

Well, you don't have to write /path/to/file, path/to/file is the path to the file like World of Warcraft/Contents/MacOS/World of Warcraft or C:/World of Warcraft/Wow.exe for Windows, I can't tell you exactly how this is for you, tell me if you don't understand what I'm saying.

Hmm, can you do a ls -al /path/to/desktop/wow/world of warcraft/contents/MacOS/world of warcraft and show me the result, and also did you really wrote there /path/to/desktop ? That shouldn't work.

He has to put the path in quotes if it contains spaces or special characters

The problem is you are using the wrong path '/path/to/desktop/wow/world of warcraft/contents/MacOS/world of warcraft' < that is 100% not correct, it should not be '/path/to/desktop'..., look at his ' /Users/mukulmehta/Downloads/' this is how yours should look like at the beginning. I can't really teach you how to get that, maybe I'll think of something.

Guys, I made it work.. I looked up on some websites to explain me these commands and it works now, here is what i ve done..

Benjamin-Tones-Mac:~ geechi$ sudo chmod +x
usage: chmod [-fhv] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-a | +a | =a [i][# [ n]]] mode|entry file ...
chmod [-fhv] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-E | -C | -N | -i | -I] file ...
Benjamin-Tones-Mac:~ geechi$ /Users/geechi/Documents/wow/World\ of\ Warcraft.app/Contents/MacOS/World\ of\ Warcraft.exe

Posturi unite automat, 23-05-2013, 11:35:25

1 step : write in terminal sudo chmod +x (makes the app executable)

2 step: drag the file u want to make executable, which is world of warcraft.

Go to show contents, contents, MacOS, world of warcraft and drag it there.. and it should open it

If anyone has problems with it, lemme know. I have MacOS 10.8.3

Thanks for your help Rastar and Pal0bre

Mano.
