This is the 2nd private server I have tried.

Both servers have an issue when a mob picks up aggro out in the world. The mob seems to not get aggro attached to the player, but to the spot in the world that the mob 1st 'spotted' the player.

This issue is easily seen when walking by a monster in their aggro range, but not directly towards them.

When I walk towards a mob and get aggro, the mob will approach me, walk through me, and continue to go to the spot where I was first spotted. Which then brings up all the "target must be in front of you" or "not close enough" messages. Very frustrating since I'm playing a warrior class. I'm fairly certain the ranged classes aren't really affected by this, or might not even notice it. And I'm sure that rogue/druid classes absolutely LOVE this 'feature' (wink wink).

Is this a known issue? Is there any way to fix this? Why does this happen on these servers but not on retail?

Very frustrating and practically kills a non-rogue/druid melee class.

That's not the most annoying thing man. The worst thing is when you agro a mob and he goes behind you, it's really frustrating -. and yes it's a known bug. WHy it can't be scripted? Well only the GMS know but I think there is a good reason.

It IS the worst thing that can happen to you when you try doing Zon'ozz on hc and the boss just goes through the tank and turns away from the raid on the beginning of the fight. With his random casting times it's difficult enough to do him already.

Most annoying thing is that mobs can come to you through textures or any other obstacles or even "walk in air" to you. I've seen pathfinding scripted on many servers.
Playing here since early 4.0.6, Why haven't we ever seen it working here?
Also, it was said that "evade" bug for mobs was fixed, and in some places it still happens. For example zombies in Culling of Stratholme.
