But why stop there? The most wipes, the most deaths, the best hps, the most absorbs, the highest hit. See where i`m going?
That would create too much flame on this server, as there is not enough already.


This ideea, with the timing of the bosses for each raid, is helpful just for people to know where they stand if an pve event will be today. But even so, it is helpful just for the wipeless raids and there still are some reasons to debate. Otherwise it just puts more hate between guilds.
It can be a motivational for some raid leaders but i`m wondering why would the staff want us out of the game quicker.
Or is just a way to catch the exploiters. Or make them report the bugs.

+1 I'd rly like to see some comparisons / top XXs with heals/deepses on certain fights too. But i guess it's not much possible, since it would have to be some recount-like (skada-like) script working during every fight, calculating almost every shit players do. Didnt we have problems with combat log / player updates in the raid groups that makes ppl's fps drop like crazy ?

It was thought and designed more or less as a tool for boasting that will give players something to do(a goal to achieve , someone to surpass, etc) rather than anything else, imho this is wonderful because it raises the already high level of competition between guilds and as an added bonus people from outside can view our activity.

I didn't even wanted to take in consideration the fact that it's not possible to do that. I was instantly rejecting the ideea

I'm using the recount to best me, not others. For real! The point is that the dps would be always different, depending on the spec/gear/role on the raid/ raid phases etc. For example, if you are a feral druid assigned to down the claw and remain on the boss on the Zon'ozz fight than you would have a way more higher dps than another one who is assigned to down a flail, an eye, to hit a tranquil, a ress or bearform waiting for heal. Or if on 25h Yor'Sahj fight you get black globule every phase and others get none.

The best thing would be doing as Pufarinaa did on the druid forum: creating a topic in which you could post ps with the dmg done/healing done and the stats you had in that fight. But that should be on every class's forum.

I'm not saying is a bad idea. It's a great one but designed for an ideal community.
It is, after all, a kind of achievement. So why not making it one? Would it be possible to create special achievements based on the time spent on the boss? Make it an almost impossible time to beat for each one. Like 2'10'' for morchock on 10h. That would give everyone in the raid a personal accomplishment. The other achievements that currently don`t work in DS would bring BIS players/raids some new goals that would mean more time ingame hence more players on.

uh, just one thing tho...the merge is happening soon soo...you might have a bit bigger competition then the leftovers of guilds on Exodus. If Reckless is on top of the timers after that then the bragging rights might be worth something, till then, they don't mean shit. Ain't a race if ur the only one running.
