They got so many by officers using auto invite addons (I guess)
P.s, I bet you 3000+ of those toons in that guild are like lvl 20 and haven't been logged in for over 10 months.

I personally love that guild, they are the first ones that invite me when I create a new alt. Usually within the first 10 minutes of playing.
Apart from having three more letters below your characters name, you might not even notice that you are a member of the guild.
Just remember to leave when you hit level 85.
