Being part of Freakz Team

Hello there fellow developers, GMs and players!

I wish to become GM or part of Freakz Team. Through past I've played many MMOs including AION, TERA, Guild Wars 2 and finally WoW.
Since I started my WoW career recently, I don't posses knowledge about its world or lore but I'm currently looking heavily into that.
I was also CEO at small pentest group recently, hence I know a lot about security.

The script quality on Freakz is very high, hands down. However its not always enough to attract new players.

Website and forum interface is terribly designed and in complete mess. To make things even worse, forum is packed tight.
CS servers, HoS, WoW, Romanian, English.. everything is thrown around the place like nothing matters to developers.

I remember, when I had to reset my password on forums. There wasn't any "Reset" button around! Not even after typing wrong one!
After I found Reset button, typed my mail and got automatic response. That same response made me wonder: who does even maintain those things?
All sentences where merged, leaving letter almost unreadable and untidy.

Can you see the point I'm trying to make?

Let me sort it shortly for you: Players refrain themselves to play on this and similar servers because:

1. Website and forum are messy, thus giving impression of playing on untidy, unmaintained server. First impression is very crucial, as it shows the developer's passion toward server's quality. Freakz's website obviously isn't good example.

2. No GMs online. Well, I play for some time now, and whenever I needed GM, none was online! .gm ingame always shows empty result.
This makes people unease about server's order, which can only lead to impression everyone can hack/cheat freely.
Im sure if there are any GMs, they are rarely online.

3. Population. Everyone wants to play on highly populated servers. What keeps you away from this are facts I wrote above.

4. Mobility. Not letting players change their email is not really wise move. They should feel like THEY ARE IN CONTROL over their account.
Im sure security can be adjusted further about emails, but everything can be worked out.


Difference between raw and perfection is in details. Its obvious this is holding server's potential to be on top.

Why would I like to contribute Freakz Team?

I know how it is to maintain your website/community. I had my forums and I had to organise everything from people to forum sections.. AND YES, I KNOW how to get best out of your product/work! Reward is equal to effort invested.

I really like the idea you guys are having about the place. I think I can help you with organising stuff, looking around game for cheater/hackers and help people around(in future).

1. We are aware of the website/forum problems and we are working on it. We hope to offer a new and better website with the launch of Mists of Pandaria. As for the forum we are still discussing the subject.

2. ".gm ingame" command is not available anymore for clear reasons like hackers that see if GMs are online or not. It's better for us, the Staff, to stay undercover all the time. Also, if you have a problem please make a ticket and you will get an answer as fast as possible depending on your problem.
P.S. I'm online most of the time, especially the night (CEST Time Zone) but you must understand this - We are humans too and we have our needs/priorities sometimes.

4. It's not our problem that players are ..... if they can't write an email correctly. Also, we have a new layer of security, the Question with Secret Answer which is perfect. If we add the "Change e-mail option" we would give hackers to keep accounts for them forever. (We had numerous reports of hacked accounts and the security question reduced them drastically).


As for the "Joining our Ranks" I'll say this: "We are looking for you, not you for us." I don't have any decision power so I will let a superior consider your request.

We've been considering getting a foreign GameMaster (focused entirely on the foreign community, advanced English grammar and a good knowledge of the game are required) for quite some time now, we even translated some pieces of information into English. We just didn't find the right one yet. We shall see how things evolve.

That is far from perfect, if you know the person then you can just guess the answer or just scrape the info off of some social network (you wouldn't believe the things that people post online)
A better solution is a password (something that the user knows) and a single-use authentication token (something that the user has), like a authenticator on your phone or what blizzard does with the physical authenticator.

I think you should go for a Blizzard-like theme (like the one at their board). You can easily get their imageset and you wouldn't have to drastically change the template to make it work.

Frankly, your English could use some improvement. Having staff with poor English makes the place seem less professional to newcomers.

Also the OP sounded like a plea for sympathy. Generally people get promoted if they have a history in the community so the staff knows what they're like. I'd try to establish a reputation first if I were you, before asking for authority. In addition to what I said earlier, I also don't think it's a good idea to ask for a staff position anyway since you risk coming off as power hungry. If you seem competent enough, there is no doubt the staff will notice you and recruit you into their ranks.

I love the place so I offered my assistance. I don't mind if it gets rejected, really. Regarding forum reputation, I am unable to orientate in this mess, sorry.

Never gonna happen. Shocker is way to smart to fail as that; and staff that we have around is devoted and brilliant.

I want to ensure you that every ban is always followed by a proper reason. If you wake up in a situation where your account is banned, feel free to make a proper post under Unban Request.
Do not forget to bring the necessary evidence to appeal GMs decision.

Didnt mean to offend you , but well you cant trust anyone this days , but i guess do as other says prove your self and they should PM you or something i beleive last guy who got GM is that dreadblade dude who was just some pvp player , not sure how he got that position they probably contacted him
