I haven't encountered the above bug yet, but there is another bug related to mind flay that has been around since Cata:

When casting mind flay on a target that is immune to movement impairing effects (like a Warrior who is Bladestorming or someone under the effect of a Paladin's Hand of Freedom, a Hunter while Master's Calling etc.), mind flay fails to cast.

You should be able to channel mind flay and do damage, but the target shouldn't be slowed.

I need a way to reproduce this bug, it seems to be invalid. I'll let the topic open for a few more days.

I cant reproduce it. It might have been then because of a texture bug and the target was somehow not in los. If the bug comes again please make another bug report that shows how to reproduce the bug.
