WoW Freakz spell link: https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=124255 (wowhead link)

Bug description:

1) Currently the stagger switches to moderate when the total amount is >3% oh max HP, instead it should switch when the total amount is >30% and <60% of max HP and the DoT is >3% and <6% of max HP. Same with Heavy Stagger, it currently switches to it when the total stagger amount is >6% of total HP, instead it should switch when the total amount is >60% HP and the DoT component is >6% of max HP.

Proof:

On my monk I took some gear off and had a total of 284.834 max HP, which means Moderate Stagger should happen whenever I'm taking 8545 (3% of max HP) from the DoT component, and 85,450 (30% of max HP) from the total damage. On freakz I get moderate Stagger whenever I start taking 8545 damage from the total damage. (From normal stagger: http://i.imgur.com/k58MTPy.jpg, to moderate: http://i.imgur.com/6sJDeFW.jpg.)

Same thing for Heavy Stagger, on freakz it starts at 6% of max HP from total damage when it should be at 60% of max HP from total damage and 6% DoT damage. (From moderate stagger: http://i.imgur.com/g0XopBG.jpg, to heavy: http://i.imgur.com/MisSEJV.jpg)
From 284.834 max HP, heavy stagger should start at 170,900 total damage and 17,090 DoT damage.

From wowhead:
Quote:
The color is purely for display purposes, to give you a quick indication of how strong the Stagger DoT currently is. The logic for the colors is based on the damage per tick as a % of your max health. Red means >6%, Yellow means >3%, Green means >0%.

From Wowpedia:
Quote:
The Stagger DoT has three "Phases": Light Stagger, Moderate Stagger, and Heavy Stagger. Light Stagger is when the total stagger amount is less than 30% of max health. Moderate Stagger is when the total stagger amount is more than 30% of max health, but less than 60%. Finally, Heavy Stagger is when the total stagger amount is greater than 60% of max health.

2) Stagger damage should not be able to kill you (finish you off). Overkill damage on freakz: http://i.imgur.com/GaePrte.jpg

Proof:
From wowpedia:
Quote:
For each hit taken, the damage that is stored in Stagger is recalculated and the dot refreshed. The key thing here is that Stagger by itself does not mitigate damage, but instead smooths it out. Also, Stagger by itself will not kill a Brewmaster monk (BrM). You can be at 1 health with only stagger ticking and not die, but in a raid there are a lot of things that can take that last point.

Wanted to post that.
Also: Stagger double-dips from damage reduction effects.

Proof:
Spoiler:

746 - absorbed
746/10=74,6 ~75 - it should tick for that value.

(746*0,75*0,8)/10=44,76 ~45 - how it ticks on the screenshot.

Damage reduction scales multiplicatively. I think the values on the combat log are correct.

I know how damage reduction effects scale. You do not understand what I wrote or do not understand what double-dipping means.

How it should work:
Let's say an attack without Stance of the Sturdy Ox would hit me for 100.
While in the Stance the same hit would hit me for 25% less, causing the attack to deal 75 damage.
With Stagger 80% of that attack (60 damage) is dealt instantly and the rest (15 damage) is dealt over next 10 sec, making it 1,5 damage per second.

How it works now:
An attack without Stance of the Sturdy Ox hits me for 100.
While in the Stance the same hit hits me for 25% less, causing the attack to deal 75 damage.
With Stagger 80% of that attack (60 damage) is dealt instantly and the rest (15 damage) is firstly reduced again by 25% and then dealt over next 10 sec, making it 1,125 damage per second.

Just look how much damage is absorbed and how much damage is done via Stagger. The values are not equal.
People and their analytical capability nowadays... *sigh*

I understand what you mean now. Basically, Stance of The Sturdy Ox's damage reduction is applied twice (once for the melee hit and another for the stagger DOT). No need to be condescending about it though.

It was just an example... All damage reductions are applied twice. *sigh*

Why would you just not track your Stagger value instead of being focused on the colour specifically? It's a way to indicate danger and what not but tracking it manually wouldn't be such a confusion to the player.
