I would say they are rather close , so its not worth the race change unless you have a bonus still then yeah food buff might be more practical

Yes you can! Never-the-less, you also could before the recent fix on the Lava Burst damage (Ele shamans could still get 75k dps), remember Shamans are not pure DPS classes. You should not be top-DPS, if you are question the capabilities of your group We bring lots of utility in terms of totems, thats the real strength.

By pets do you mean totems or the Greater Fire Elemental ? Because i never noticed any problem with either except magma totem which actually tends to miss quite often.

I think you mean the elementals related to Primal Elementalist? I did some short testing to see what bugs they still have, but waiting 5mins every time to check a new thing becomes tedious. The elemental should inherit the master's hit / expertise (on Elemental its expertise = your hit), so if you have the 15% hit cap the elemental should not miss.

Please note I tested them on Restoration spec, so I should have 0% hit for the elemental thanks to how Spiritual Insight works. However, this is Freakz so somehow I get 16% hit (which is nice and kinda useless) so I summoned both Primal Elementals and yes they do miss sometimes. I will add this to my bug report on this matter, thanks!

Update: post about missing is marked as duplicate (so expect it not getting fixed anytime soon). Can someone translate this?? "ai mai facut un topic despre acelasi talent, posteaza acolo si asta. " I have no clue why I get a Romanian reply to an English bug.

I mean the searing and fire elemental totem they still miss with 15% hit . @wrathy they said that a topic about this bug already exists so you should post there

Aha thanks for the translate, this Google got me nowhere. I guess its a generic bug then that effects all pets, since I couldn't find it in Shaman bugs. So it will be fixed some day

I think the recent fixes already gave us Shamans a good potential in groups to do what we do best. I wish I could have 3 talent specs on 1 Shaman.... So how is Elemental doing now, with these recent fixes? And how did you stat:

1. Full haste?
2. Full mastery?
3. Hit cap / haste?
4. Hit cap / mastery?

i'm running a hit cap -> haste ->mastery spec and doing pretty well 95k on dummy at 10M while with mastery-> haste spec i have 80-90k seems haste fits a little better for now (492 ilvl )

Lava burst orignal and mastery dmg works fine now.

Elemental overload proccs kinda rare for me and i have 54 % mastery.

and Lava beam still dont proccs with mastery . its not showed in the description. but i good video proff from Retail.

Elemental / searing "still" miss their targets its not fixed.

Eu din ce am vazut la mine in recount , inafara de tank warr cateodata, fury warr care nu stiu cum se buguie din ce am auzit, si hunter (si odata demult in trecut Monkul) , nu exista alte probleme. Cred ca elementalul se poate situa linistit intr-un top 5 in 25 man raiding in Toes. Ca la 10 man depinde mult compozitia raidului, nu ai clase de buff nu ai dmg.

Oricum recountul difera de la player la player , totemele si anumite chestii nu sunt contorizate si la restul playerilor. La fel si in cazul healerilor.

Ai si tu dreptate intr-o masura sau alta , oricum ce ai spus tu e valabil pt orice patch/ boss .Iar in mare depinde cum privesti , si totus fara un dps mare pe care numai intr-un recount il vezi nu ai cum sa imbunatatesti situatia oricat de bine s-ar sti scriptul.
Si sunt multe chestii pe care nu le poti face fara recount. Este si v-a fi un addon inutil doar pentru tank. Si nu o spun la modul ca daca il ai trebuie sa fi in top si sa stai cu nasul in el, dar te ajuta mult sa iti imbunatatesti rotatiile, sa focusezi pe anumite spelluri , sa vezi ce si unde gresesc altii, etc . Cel putin pentru un raid leader este un "Must" sa il aiba.
