Already tried that, can't simply use that visual for rain of fire, I really need to find out how blizz handled this spell...

So you cannot take just the visual of a spell? How about edit the spell when someone gets the tome, he will learn (rain of fire case) the spell from an NPC but with warlock's formula for rain of fire...just the visual with the spell formula from warlock. Because i can give you a lot of NPC's who have the green fire.
I searched everywhere for infos and stuff but i could not find anything.

Using the spellid of the NPC would case far too many other problems

Yes, that's what I need, a sniff of that spell, doesn't matter if you sniff yourself or someone else casting the codex version of rain of fire

From what I've read on forums and mmo champion blizzard always had the visuals from NPC so they used the spell with different visual. If i look on the spells affected by fel fire on rain of fire , here are kind of a lot of spells with changed visual named rain of chaos...

Fixed for Rain of Fire too, it's now fully working
