Hello guys,

i´ve started to play again since a week (was off for a couple of months, never had a problem before) and everything was working well.

Yestarday i just launched wow and in the login screen the whole system just got blocked. I had to turn off my pc and start it again cause there was no other way.

This error is now happening in the login screen everytime i launch the game.

I tried to download the game again, i tried to delete the cache folder and i updated my driver.......nothhing changed, same error, i had to restart over and over.

What can i do in order to fix it?

Thank you,

Errea

Tried, same problem again, nothing changed.

This time i notice that my antivirus was displaying a problem with two wow files, could be that the problem?
The thing is i didn´t change anything and from one day to another this is happening..

Do you have any screenshots of the error? if you get an error message. Or does your PC just freeze?

Just freeze completely, can´t do anything apart from shutting it down -

Does this only happen when you launch wow? have you tried any other games?
Sounds like this might be a problem with your computer and not the wow client.

Maybe the graphics are too high and its launching in fullscreen.
Go to WTF folder.
Open Config.wtf in notepad
Find the lines:

SET gxWindow "1" set this to 1
SET gxMaximize "0" make sure this is on 0
SET gxResolution "800x600" set this to 800x600.

If you cant see any of those lines, just add them in there and save.

After this try and open wow, if it works it should open in a small window, if your PC doesnt freeze you can log in and carefully ajust the ingame settings.

I tried as you said and......it was working! I didn't change anything apart from the windowed mode and when i put it on fullscreen it was freezing again D:

What can the problem be?

If it only happens when you take the game to full screen it might be something wrong with your graphic card. Try updating the drivers for it.
Other than that im not really sure.

Try and change the resoluition higher and higher and still have it in windowmode. Shouldn't be much more different than playing in fullscreen.
