If i take Giant Sewer Rat from the voteshop can i get the achiev for it ?

also someone told me i can get the achiev for Old Ironjaw from voteshop ? is it true? can not find him there

Hei . Old Ironjaw is not on the list of battle pets so you have to get it in-game. The drop rate is quite low ( https://www.wow-freakz.com/item_finder.php?item=34484&&name=old-ironjaw ) but the achievement works from what i know. ( you can also link an achievement on global chat and you will get a message if the achievement works or not and how many people did it ) Regarding the Rat , yes you will get the achievement for it , at least that's how it should work

From what I know you can vote for Old Ironjaw: Old Ironjaw vote shop since its an item over 20 item level
As for the achievement Old Ironjaw It says "Fish up Old Ironjaw" so Im note sure if getting it from mail will trigger the achievement (I havent tried)

But I smell a giant rat has same description "Fish up" if you get this achieve I assume you could get Old Ironjaw aswell.

It should work fine for both as both require to be fished. I tried with giant sewer rat and I was awarded with achievement, thus so it should be the very same for Old Ironjaw.

tried to fish them both man

spent several hours in ironforge with no luck.

i know about the bot with the info and the low rate but after 4-5 hours of fishing should drop i say.

thanks for the info. i will try with the giant rat because Helena got the achiev in shrine area...so.. it should work. after that i will try with the iron jaw and come back with an answer


The giant rat works. i just got the achiev in thunder bluff. sent the pet and got it from mail.
Old iron jaw works the same via vote shop

I tried old ironjaw myself and it worked, as for the One that didnt get away, I'm not sure. Will check it out and get back to you

As all the other items Dark Herring It says on freakz database its the criteria of the achievement. if you check "criteria of"
I would assume it works for it then

anyway..old iron jaw and giant rat sewer they where supposed to be fished like the dark herring.

on those 2 i got the achiev but not for the dark herring. the specifications are the same. bug or...?

I dont think you are supposed to get the achievements in the first place since the achievements specifically says: "Fish up" (Old Ironjaw and I smell a giant rat)

I would say dark herring achievement works(since you cant get it through voting for item in mail)
And the other 2 are the ones that are bugged

i think we have to wait for someone with blue name to tell us whitch one is ok.
