There are some really amazing type of delays now,
No delay in chat but spells are all lagging for a whole minute, and I had no packet loss also pings were normal, 130ms on 4.2.2.4 and 160ms on google.com

BIG NEWS Surprise
It only happens near questing places, for example when you want to return night fallen emissary quest
Confirmed by multiple guild members, also they said use unstuck to fix the bug, but I only moves nearly 100yards away and it got fixed
home 130ms
world 6250ms

How about now, after the hardware upgrade? I kept checking the logs and delay seems much lower now (I'm talking about delay [spells delay, etc], not ping/latency)

Sadly, There are still some delays (I notice them easily because of PVP)
I'm 100% sure the reason behind it is the population of the server
when it goes more than 2000/2500 you can notice the delays
I think this is a software-sided problem and needs a software-sided solution but I'm sure you know these already. after all you're the dev -
Also I have an idea (It will cost both time and money and lots of'em)

So here's my idea:
Create another realm and when one hits 2000 players, the game will automatically join the other one (it shouldn't be an option for the players)
But when it comes to Premade Groups/Raid finder/Dungeon Finder/Party/Raid it will actually act like one realm
So it will reduce the pressure on both realms (specially during world quest resets)
Exactly like blizzard, that's how they manage the population i think

If you have the budget you should do it
currently you have the best private server and this will be a revolutionary feature if you add it
but as i said this will cost lots'a money and time

Realm hopping to a dedicated side realm that handles all instances that are tied to the current expansion:scenarios,dungeons,raids,arenas,battlegrounds.(if they have high latency in pre-wod content I don't think it will matter that much)

Basicly it will be used exclusively as a off-loader for the above mentioned when the population of Felsong reaches 2000 active players.

Sounds good but these two realms will have to be connected to each other so that mails,whispers can get through easily(to be as blizzard created the feature).Also if this will be the purpose of the new realm there need to be made some modifications:
-realm hop addon should be blocked so that players won't abuse the respawn timers
-boss timers from that realm should be registered as being from Felsong

Overall sound like a good idea.
Any thoughts about this?(i may be wrong in some aspects so please speak your mind - )

First we should consider the costs both for time and money as I mentioned earlier multiple times

Here's a list of things to consider:

Option ONE:
Main realm for world
Sub realm for instances (PVP/PVE)

I think this is the best option.
it may require lots of coding and optimization , specially for switching players between main and sub realm constantly (BGs/Skirmish)
Main realm will have delays for sure, but the point is to reduce delays where it's needed like PVP zones and Raids
Having delays in world doesn't bother that much, delays are usually more bothering while you're doing PVP or PVE which requires lots of timing...
Currently this option requires less hardware than the other ones.

Option TWO:
Main realm cap @ 2000 with a Sub realm
Everything already explained by Alex

Option THREE:
Main realm/Sub realm
Hop Addon enabled but with a 10min cooldown or more to stop spawn-timer abuse

Players will switch when they feel delays nothing more to say... but I don't think this will help.

I don't know what to say about this, I think the issue is on your end. I checked the delay diff logs logs at 3000+ online and the average amount I see is 60ms. If it's <100 then it should be ok.

If it's on my end why does everyone else feel it then?
Also PING and Delays are two different things (but yeah both are related to each other) and you know that.
I played with 120ms around morning when there were around 1k people and I had no delays , but after it got Crowded (I don't know if it's exactly 2k or not - so let's say the word Crowded) there were 0.3 or 0.4 second delays and I still had that 120ms.

Sorry, I didn't read your post properly.
Hmm, I don't know how you can see our delays but you better check the Sanctuary in Suramar. (It's a Lag Spot)
I know It's a different thing but you world ping goes over 2000ms in there, so it kinda rejects what you're saying about maximum delays being 100ms.
I'll ask about more and tell you the results, but be on the lookout for anyway to improve the server.
