Can i transmog legendary weapons?

Can i transmog legendary weapons? i mean like transmog the Ashbringer to Shadowmourne, etc?

Legendaries and weapons from legendary chain quests can't be transmogged.

Really? but why? I mean i know you cant do that on retail, but its a private server.
I played on different private servers, i could transmog legendary items there.

It would be nice to have this feature here too

You can't in 7.1.5
