To provide more another version of Combat log for Wrathofstorm from our last Emerald Nightmere.

This keeps happening in pugs,graid on all difficulties. At least as much as i can confirm with our Shaman.

There is only one reason you could die on this encounter and doesn't show anything in combat log and that is because you guys went under the eye while the il'gynoth was stiil in the first phase.

From the screenshots, you can clearly see that I'm not even remotely close to the eye, as I died at the very entrance. We are well aware of the little "bug" with passing the eye while he's still active even tho you shouldn't. I die as the encounter is started, and it's not just me that happens to. There are video proofs that show they die without going past the eye.

Hello,

I have a few questions for you Coco,

1. Do you really think we are that retarded? I think we know concept of the fight, or else we wouldn't have posted the issue if everything about the fight was working as intended. Loosing a person on the immediate pull due to a random oneshoot isn't a part of the fight.

2. Judging from your answer to my guildmasters post makes me question if you even opened the images we provided. (Please explain how is her location of death even remotely close to the eye as u suggested?)

So to sum it up, no dear Coco Storm didn't afk walk into the eye and then magically teleported to the location where she is on the screenshoot.

Thank you for your reply. The answer to your question is: yes i did opened your images! But they are not really helpful and I'm sure that's not your fault! I'm trying to reproduce it over and over again to see the cause, but no succes so far.

Thank you for replying to the comment.

We posted the relevant data which was presented to us by skada/recount and combat log.. which indeed didn't held any info to the mysterious oneshoot.

However last week before we actually decided to post the bug my recount logged a particular info. Last week when Wrath died on the pull killing blow was delt by the plant NPC. Like the ones from entry through the portal. I can't recall if I SS it but I'm 100% it was the plant.

Maybe this helps abit cause most raids usually clear those adds on route to the boss.

P.S Why not test it on live realm with me and Wrath when you're free?

This happened 2-3 min ago. No damage taken on skada, nothing but "You died." in combat log.

We had the same problem and we weren't under the eye. This happens always to 1 tank and 1 random dps(always the same guy) on all difficulty(Nm,HC,MYTH). In the combat log there's nothing that explain why you died..

This seems to be a player specific bug, from the runs I've noticed it seems to be the same people that get insta killed every pull.

I agree. It is always me on Akido my monk. I don't know how u guys test bugs. I'd recommend trying my character if that is possible for you guys.

We came to conclusion that the bug only happens on wraths shaman. We made her switch to her alt and she didn't die on the pull.

So what ever is happening, its only affecting her shaman. Tho relation with the other ppl experiencing the same bug is probably in something they share. (An item,talent..etc).

@CoCoDev can I recommend trying to arrange a raid group even on normal with some of the players here that have said they are killed on pull so that you can witness it first hand on the live server.
I guess it definitely seems to be a toon specific issue as others have confirmed my assumption.

  • [FIXED] Fixed an issue where players would have needed to soak Death Blossom even if Eye of Il'gynoth was dead
  • [FIXED] Fixed an issue where some players had a chance to be instantly killed at the beginning of the fight.


All the fixes will be live after the next restart

@CoCoDev Il'gynoth applies cursed blood to things that it shouldn't, such as Consecration, sphere of insanity, effloresence and pets, this can prevent you from being able to correctly do the mechanic because it will be appllied to something that's not a player that can move to correctly do the mechanic and not injure other raid members. Please look at the chat frame in my screenshot to see the dbm alert of what was targeted with cursed blood.
