It works
I tested it vs windwalker monk.
And in Ethereal I was immune to all his physical abilities (autoattacks , rising sun kick, fists of fury)
Note* Ethereal form should only make you immune to physical damage. You should take spell dmg through it. (it's in the tooltip)
