I just received a message from someone claiming that there is a bitcoin miner (a math problem solver that earns the owner money) in the WoW-Freakz game launcher.

I expect a reply on that from staff.
If it happens to be true,that explains the disconnects out of nothin' and the lag cause sometimes,because in case you don't know all that coin diggin overloads you CPU and makes you PC more laggy.And I won't be happy with that if it happens to be true. Understand me correct,I wouldn't mine you winnin bitcoins on my back,as long as you don't mess with my laptop/computer and my gaming expirience.

Those rumors you are hearing are from other private servers.

This is obviously a attempt to spread false information about the server. We have a custom client since it has a inbuilt antihack system which many people try to bypass to use for hacks saying its a virus/bitcoin-miner etc.

You cant take the word of someone who has never played on freakz

I figured that. Since the person was obviously spreading it around to people in private messages and encouraging others to do so, I thought it might be a good idea to get out in front of it with this post. I made an error. In the future, I will send a direct message to a staff member.

As already stated , there is no bitcoin miner in the launcher, it is for the anti-hack feature.

Fixes will be live only after a server restart !

Thank you for providing the screenshot of the message and sorry about our initial attitude towards you. I got reports from other players that once that guy got an answer to his message about the bitcoin miner, he immediately started advertising another private server. So this is just an attempt from other private servers to advertise themselves. That's pathetic, not being able to attract players with their fixes & content so they start trashing other servers. Pathetic. At least I'm happy they know they can't compete with us at fixes and content, ha ha
