Replacing the new launcher doesn't help. I don't have proxy.

Also when I untick the read only attribute of the data folder and click apply and I re-open properties of the folder, it is still ticked read only. Why is that?

For me this problem occur when i try to open wow freakz launcher on my new PC.
It work fine only in my old PC where i'd download it on July 2017

Is that same wow-freak host's problem or what?

It seems that there are 2 errors and I saw someone got only 1 error.
1. Error downloading versions data from patch service. => http://cdn-wow.freaks.ro/version/EUwow/23420
2. Error downloading CDN data from patch service. => http://cdn-wow.freaks.ro/cdnsEUwow/23420

but for me both 2 error occur and it point to same domain => http://cdn-wow.freaks.ro

- create a fresh new folder and run WoW Freakz launchers
- uncheck "Use proxy..."

All these solutions are not solve the problem at all.

i try to play in other server like w****** .. same result error ..idk why ..
im using windows 10 ..

then now i will try to use windows 7 if its work
because i guess is the windows 10 update is the problem ..
some people log in mostly using windows 7 ... hmmm

I think I figured it out: all you need to do is to remove read only from all folders (atleast I did that). Hope that will help you.
